Dutch electronic music star Martin Garrix said the four-day Son Doong Cave experience was “the trip of a lifetime”. On February 3, Martin Garrix wrote on his personal Instagram page: “The most magical four days ever! Thank you to the entire team for making this journey the trip of a lifetime.”

As of the afternoon of February 4 (Hanoi time), the post attracted more than 190,000 likes and more than 1,100 comments. Many spectators praised the cave’s scenery. In it, DJ Alan Walker – famous for the song Faded – wrote: “I filmed one of my MVs there! Great location.” In 2019, Alan Walker went to Vietnam to carry out the project Alone Pt. II, attracting more than 361 million views on YouTube.

Previously, Martin Garrix posted a photo with friends visiting Train Street (Hanoi), on January 28. The DJ’s trip earlier this year was not the artist’s first time coming to Vietnam. In 2016, Garrix performed at a music night in Hanoi, selling out 10,000 tickets five days before the event. In April 2018, the artist came to Ho Chi Minh City to participate in a Formula 1 (F1) racing event.

Martin Garrix’s real name is Martijn Gerard Garritsen, 28 years old, born in Amstelveen (Netherlands). Growing up in the “cradle” of European electronic music, Garrix showed his talent early, knowing how to play the guitar at the age of eight. That same year, the boy decided to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ after watching artist Tiesto perform at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games (Greece).

In 2012, at the age of 16, Martin Garrix released his debut song BFAM with DJ Julian Jordan. The artist’s career flourished in the summer of 2013, when he ranked 40th in DJ Mag magazine’s ranking of the world’s top 100 DJs. A year later, Garrix’s song Animals made the artist the youngest person to win the top spot on the Beatport chart, ranked third in the top 100 world DJs in 2015. Garrix also ranked first on DJ Mag’s list of 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022.

Son Doong Cave was discovered and announced as the world’s largest in 2010. In August 2013, the cave was first put into tourism operation with a limited number of visitors every year. In Quang Binh, there are currently nearly 400 large and small caves, of which about 40 caves are being exploited for tourism. Some caves limit the number of visitors such as Son Doong and En Cave.
