According to the General director of Oxalis Nguyen Chau A, the tickets will be sold to the first participants who satisfy health requirements that
visitors are required to be passed 50 kilometres in a jungle and mountain for five-day trip; 400 metres of elevation (road and valleys); river crossings
(knee deep, wide river of 10-50m), including more than 9 kilometres caving such as stone terrain, rope climbing and scrambling; passing through underground river
with waving currents and five days inside

The tickets for Son Doong Cave in 2017 cost 66 million (3000 USD) per person.
The tour includes 22 porters, 2 cooks, 5 safety assistants, an english tour guide, a cave expert and 2 forestry surveillances to serve 10 special visitors.

For those who cannot meet health requirements, time or cannot affort for Son Doong, they can explore other adventure tours less than the days of Son Doong Cave
such as En Cave (2 days 1 night), Va Cave, Tu Lan (optional days) and Tien Cave

Son Doong cave is located in  Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Tan Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province. The cave is the largest natural cave in the world. The cave is a part of the underground system with more than 150 other connections in Vietnam near the border with Laos. 6, Thach Dong is Located in My Duc Commune, about 5 km from the center of Ha Tien town. Thach Dong mountain is a steep limestone block. It is 90 meters above sea level and about 45 m in diameter. It has two main entrances. The wood-made Tien Son Temple is inside the cave. On 11th  May, 2016, the group of ambssadors from many countries ( such as Argentina,  Sweden, Italy, Britain, Australia, the Czech Republic), representatives of the UNESCO in Vietnam and the United States Assistant Secretary of State arrived Quang Binh to join the program “Conquering Son Doong – the world’s largest cave”. There was also the participation of Miss Duong Truong Thien. The group was led by the Viet Nam Ambassador – Pham Sanh Chau, the Director of External Relations and UNESCO, Culture Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vietnam.

Tran Tien Dung, the Vice Chairman of Quang Binh gave warm greetings and best wishes to the group of ambassadors. He hoped the ambassadors to have a good  trip with unforgetable experiences.


“Through this trip, the ambassadors will help Quang Binh in the promotion of tourism and introduce many visiters to the province …” – Mr Dung said.

Mrs Camilla Mellander, the Ambassador of Sweden in Vietnam, said: “I only know information about Son Doong through the media and once wanted to visit. So, taking part in the tour “’Conquering Son Doong – Caves the world’s largest” ‘is a very exciting experience for me. I am impressed with the preservation and exploitation of natural world Heritage Site of Phong Nha-Ke Bang in Quang Binh province. It determines that the province Quang Binh doesn’t  pursue profits. Quang Binh limits the number of visitors and the human impacts on the world’s largest cave Son Doong … ”


Reportedly, the delegation of Ambassadors discovered Son Doong  cave for 5 days from 12 to 17th May , 2016. According to statistics, from the beginning of this year, there were 216 people conquering Son Doong, in which most visitors come from the United States with 95 people.

Dark Cave was discovered for a long time ago. During American resistance war, the cave used to be the shelter of soldiers and locals. In 1992, the British Caving Association surveyed, mapped, and measured Dark Cave with the length of 5,558m, the depth of 80m, and the height of 50m. The Dark Cave has an outstanding beauty.
