Travel from Hue to Quang Tri by Heritage Train and discover the spectacular caves and natural landscapes of the former Quang Binh region on this 3-day adventure. Explore Phong Nha Cave by boat, walk through Paradise Cave, experience ziplining and kayaking at Dark Cave, and take on an exciting underground adventure at Cha Loi Cave.

Your journey begins at Hue Railway Station, where you make your own way to the station and board the Heritage Train from Hue to Tho Loc. Enjoy the scenic train journey through the countryside before arriving at Tho Loc Railway Station, where your local guide and driver will meet you.

Continue to Phong Nha Cave, one of the region’s most famous natural attractions. Take a traditional boat along the Son River and explore impressive underground chambers filled with spectacular limestone formations.

The following day, discover Paradise Cave, known for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Continue to Chay River – Dark Cave for an active afternoon featuring a 400-meter zipline, kayaking, cave exploration, and a natural mud bath.

On the final day, head to Cha Loi Cave for a more adventurous experience. Equipped with a helmet, headlamp, gloves, and other necessary gear, you’ll walk, crawl, climb, and swim through more than 5 km of cave passages. Discover an underground wartime area and learn about the cave’s historical connection to the Vietnam War.

This 3-day journey combines Heritage Train travel, spectacular caves, local culture, nature, and outdoor adventure, offering an exciting way to explore the cave kingdom of the newly established Quang Tri Province.

The tour starts from Hue Railway Station. Guests make their own way to the station, and our tour guide will meet you at Tho Loc Railway Station upon arrival.

DAY 1: THO LOC RAILWAY STATION – PHONG NHA CAVE – OVERNIGHT IN PHONG NHA

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

07:15: Guests make their own way to Hue Railway Station and board the Heritage Train to Tho Loc Railway Station.

Note: Guests are free to enjoy the scenic Heritage Train journey from Hue to Tho Loc.

11:55: Arrive at Tho Loc Railway Station, where our driver and tour guide will meet you. Transfer to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

12:30: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Phong Nha.

14:00: Depart for Phong Nha Cave.

14:30: Take a traditional boat along the Son River to explore Phong Nha Cave, one of the most spectacular caves in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang World Heritage Site. The cave is famous for its underground river and impressive limestone formations.

Explore highlights including Bi Ky Cave, Fairy Cave, and Royal Court Cave, with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites along the way.

16:30: Return by boat to the pier. Transfer to your hotel/homestay in Phong Nha for check-in and relaxation.

18:30: Enjoy a local dinner. Free time to explore Phong Nha Town in the evening.

DAY 2: PARADISE CAVE – CHAY RIVER & DARK CAVE – OVERNIGHT IN DONG HOI

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

07:00: Enjoy breakfast and check out of your accommodation.

08:00: Depart along the western branch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail to Paradise Cave, one of the highlights of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

Paradise Cave stretches for 31.4 km, making it one of the longest dry caves in Asia. Explore the first 1 km of the cave along a wooden walkway and admire its spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

12:00: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and taste local specialties.

14:00: Arrive at Chay River – Dark Cave and enjoy an exciting adventure including a 400-meter zipline, cave exploration, natural mud bathing, kayaking, and other water activities on the Chay River.

16:30: Transfer to Dong Hoi City and check in at your hotel. Free time to relax or enjoy Nhat Le Beach.

18:30: Enjoy a seafood dinner at a local restaurant. Free time to explore Dong Hoi City at night.

DAY 3: CHA LOI CAVE ADVENTURE – TRANSFER TO MY TRACH RAILWAY STATION

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

06:30:Enjoy breakfast and check out.

07:00: Our driver and tour guide pick you up in Dong Hoi City and depart for Cha Loi Cave.

08:00: Receive your adventure equipment, including a helmet, headlamp, gloves, and trekking footwear, before starting your Cha Loi Cave adventure.

Explore more than 5 km of cave passages and experience a variety of activities, including walking, crawling, climbing, and swimming. Along the way, discover an underground wartime area once used by soldiers during the Vietnam War.

11:30: Exit the cave and return to the lunch area for a short rest.

12:00: Enjoy lunch featuring local specialties and take a short break.

13:30: Depart for My Trach Railway Station (Le Thuy).

14:53: Board the train and continue your journey. Your tour guide says goodbye and wishes you a safe and enjoyable onward journey.
