Tour Reviews
“Caves astonishing, guide friendly but not too informative” in En cave
A friend and I decided not to book a tour for the caves, just to rent motorbikes and show up. When we got there, a young Vietnamese gentleman guide named Quan cajoled us into joining him and 3 others for the boat trip to the caves. We could split the price of the boat (300,000 dong) and the three other passengers were Vietnamese but spoke English as well. We joined them for a lovely boat ride down the river. Most of the time Quan spoke Vietnamese with the Vietnamese visitors, but every so often would tell us a fact or two about the caves (the formations are made from the drippings of the gradual liquification of animal skeletons and sea shells in the earth above the cave!) Or maybe he was telling us all the same information, not sure. In any case, we were content to sit back and float without much information through an ethereal paradise of cave formations, some sparkling with crystal, some of astoundingly colossal proportions. Pictures don’t do these caves justice. They are quite lit up much like Disneyland, but it doesn’t take away from the majesty. After the boat ride Quan didn’t charge us the boat fee, just asked us to write a tripadvisor review. 🙂

“”Magnificant views, good day””
It was really interesting to go to Paradise cave and Phong Nha cave. We went there by car and had lunch, all thing arranged by Netin. The service is really good. I’m very pleased and my friends are sastisfied too. The price is really cheap, and we really want to go there one more time, haha maybe Son Doong cave, but the price is too expensive haha. Cong, the English tour guide, talked too much and he sang some songs, that’s really funny on cars. And the driver is really friendly too. They always care us. We love you NETIN. I gave you 5-star and hope that you will be stronger in Quang Binh tourism.

“Hang En 2D 1N”
We booked our Hang En 2 day 1 night adventure tour with Netin. If you have any troubles finding reviews for this trek through different companies, it is because most overnight cave tours are pretty much run exclusively by Oxalis. The other companies will provide you with transfers etc but if you want reviews for the trek itself go look at Oxalis.
As for Netin, we chose this company as they have the most competitive price and included all transfers where other companies were going to charge us big bucks. They picked us up from our hotel in Dong Hoi, dropped us to the trek at Oxalis (about 50k from Dong Hoi), and picked us up as soon as we got back from the caves the next day.
We were a little nervous because we had a connecting train to Hue at 7:40pm, but Netin assured us they would get us to Dong Hoi station on time – and they did! =)
Our guide was so lovely: she sang traditional Vietnamese songs on the way to Phong nha, gave lots of interesting information about the areas, let us have a quick shower after our trek (it was in her best interest after a 2 day hike!! haha) , she also helped us to organise our train tickets at the train station.
If you plan to base yourself in Dong Hoi, then Netin is a safe bet!
“Main gate to know Vietnam”
I couldn’t say thank them more. Without their supports and advice, I might just VISIT famous sights and TAKE photos. Because they gave me hints and answers to know more about Vietnam though their trip, I really could spend an intense time to cultivate my curiosity. I truly recommend this team to all.
